TITLE:  Marketing Associate
SUPERVISOR: Marketing Director
POSITION TYPE:  Temporary with potential for permanent placement    

SUMMARY:  Tavistock Group is looking for a marketing associate to join the Orlando-based marketing team that supports Albany, our luxury resort community in The Bahamas. Working alongside Albany’s marketing director, this position will assist in various stages of print and digital resort marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have some graphic design experience or training coupled with a strong desire to learn, develop, and advance his/her skills in marketing and design. This person should be a motivated self-starter prepared to work in a detail oriented, fast-paced team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create graphic collateral for promotional materials, including print advertisements, collateral, websites, e-newsletters, branding and internal/external publications
  • Conduct research on projects under the Marketing Director’s direction
  • Update and maintain resort templates
  • Provide supportive documents and samples in client meetings
  • Ensure that deadlines are met and work effectively under pressure
  • Develop, design, and format rich interactive content based on customer instruction
  • Collaborate with team and design professionals in order to produce effective and accurate work
  • Manage a project through all phases of development when necessary, creating concepts based on customer interaction, designing, revising, troubleshooting, and producing a final product
  • Develop concepts for and design a wide range of marketing materials in digital and print mediums
  • Create and maintain consistent templates in our corporate look and feel to insure fast campaign creation
  • Work within and help establish new marketing templates and best practices in support of brand management
  • Ensure print and digital deadlines are met by working in conjunction with other members of the marketing team
  • Update and maintain accuracy of company website and social media outlets when applicable
  • Grow new and maintain existing relationships with print and digital vendors
  • Manage and maintain a database/portfolio of marketing material design elements
  • Coordinate with team to receive proof approvals prior to printing and release. Document and make requested changes/additions as needed
  • Work directly with print/digital vendors to ensure final files are delivered and required materials are available for production
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Design, Marketing or Advertising degree
  • Minimum one year of experience in a marketing position is preferred
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the Premium Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop) is preferred
  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word,  Outlook, and Excel)
  • Able to follow directions, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to urgent requests in a positive manner
  • Good organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Familiar with working within corporate identity guidelines
  • Able to organize projects and project files
  • Knowledge of browser-based technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.) a plus
  • Ability to meet deadlines, while managing multiple projects

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above.  Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively with other individuals
  • Must be able to maintain good relations with employees, supervisors and the public
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
