I am a little confused, for print, do we submit individual pieces or just place them on a disc like interactive students would?

Jason, You may either save files to a CD-Rom and submit as instructed on the pdf OR you may email a link to a web address where we can view some of your work. This is regardless of whether or not you're print or interactive. If you are submitting your web address just write it on the application and submit it as directed. Obviously if you're interactive we'd like to see the web sites or flash projects functional. And though it'd be much more helpful to see the printed project, we understand a lot of students are under financial constraints as it is - so if you are not submitting the actual printed pieces you should be sure your work is well represented in the files you save on CD or online, even if it means photographing any three dimensional pieces such as products, booklets, etc. Hope this helps. If you guys are unsure of anything else let us know and we'll address your questions. We KNOW we have a lot of deserving students - so get to putting those portfolios together! :)

Oh yeah, and it mentions that it would cover Art and/or graphics courses: does this mean you could apply it towards any graphic or art course you wanted, even one not required for your degree?

Tyson, You should mail your application to Barbara at the address on the application if you won't be in town. I'm looking into how it would apply to non-degree courses.

tyson, you can also mail your application to me: kpennino@valenciacc.edu. as far as i know, these scholarships are shared with the fine arts department and will apply for ANY graphics or fine arts courses, not just those that are for your degree.
