Art Calendar Announces its 2010 Self-Portrait Cover Contest

Art Calendar, the business magazine for visual artists, announces its 2010 Self-Portrait Cover Contest. The contest, which runs today through December 11, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. EST, is free to enter, features $750 in gift certificates provided by the contest sponsor, Blick Art Materials, and gives one talented artist the opportunity to have their artwork featured on the cover of the March 2010 issue of Art Calendar.

The first place winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to Blick Art Materials, have their artwork featured on the cover of the March 2010 issue of Art Calendar, and will be interviewed by one of the Art Calendar editors for a one-page profile.

The second place winner will receive a $150 gift certificate to Blick Art Materials and the third place winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Blick Art Materials. Both the second and third place finalists will have a half-page profile with an image of their work and a short biography about them inside the March 2010 issue of Art Calendar.

The contest will be juried by a panel comprised of Art Calendar staff and contributing writers and the winners will be notified by December 15, 2009.

Only electronic submissions made through www.ArtCalendar.com/CoverContest2010will be accepted. No photographs, slides or CDs sent by mail to Art Calendar will be eligible. There is a limit of one entry per person.
