ADDY Call for Volunteers

There’s sooo much to be be done on the committee and it would be a chance for students to not only get the inside scoop on the competition, but a chance to step up and volunteer their time and talents. Furthermore, they’d get a chance to meet professionals in the industry, and maybe even make contact with some of the big guns like Push, Say It Loud, Anson-Stoner, and Fry Hammond Barr.”

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS FROM SCOTT EVERHART:
Another year and another ADDY Awards are upon us and it’s time to start ramping up preparations for a great event.  Since we had such a great committee last year I’m reaching out to you again this year to see if you’d be wiling to help even if it’s in a different capacity than 2009.  Also, we would love for you to provide this email and information to any new contacts that may be interested in joining the team and/or AAF-Orlando.

We have already selected both the Orlando Science Center for our venue and February 27th, 2010 as the event date.  While it may seem a long way off, we have lots to do that will make the time fly by, especially with the holidays right around the corner.

With that in mind, I’d like to suggest we plan on meeting next week on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23 at 6pm to begin determining several items:

• Committee roles and responsibilities
• Schedule of next steps  (specifically distribution of call for entries and securing judges)
• Internal communication methods
• Discussion of themes

I know I’m proposing a meeting during the week of Thanksgiving but we need to start locking down important items ASAP and I promise to respect your time by keeping the meeting as short as possible (approximately 1 hour). Trustee Barb Scherer has once again graciously made her offices at Engauge available for our meetings this year so hopefully that location is still convenient for everyone.  In case you need to plug it into your GPS, the address is:
