How does a printing press really work? How is a die cut made? And just what the heck is so great about a Heidelberg anyway?

Find yourself asking these types of questions? You’re not alone. We talk all day long about printing plates and spot colors and die cuts, but it doesn’t really mean much of anything until you see these processes up close and personal. We have the chance at such an opportunity provided by our friends at Abbott Printing in Maitland, FL. Abbott Printing considers the education of designers of the utmost importance, and they frequently host workshops for fine students, such as yourselves, to come learn more about printing and take a tour of their shop… and boy is it a doozie! Two big ol’ Heidelbergs, lots of crazy cutting and binding machines… it’s like a printing wonderland! And you can have a chance to see it all (for free of course).

But first we need your help! Before we can move forward, we need to find out how many students are interested and when the best days/times for you are. This would be a first come, RSVP event. If enough students are interested, then we will be able to hold multiple workshop sessions on the same day. As of right now, we do not have a specific date in mind, but chances are we will aim for the 1st or 2nd week in November.
