Important Note to Student ADDY Winners Regarding Auto-Forwarding:
Entries that win a Gold ADDY® at the local show will be automatically forwarded to the District competition with fees paid by the local chapter. Should the entry win Gold at the at the District level, it will be forwarded to the national competition with fees paid by the District. If your entry is awarded a Silver ADDY® at the local or District level, you have won the right to compete at the next level of competition, however you must pay a $20 entry fee again by the deadline (usually within the next few days!) to manually advance your Silver ADDY® to the District level.

Special thanks to Julio Lima from Say It Loud for donating student tickets again this year and for the teamwork Russ Sillery, et. al., for arranging such a fun after-party that allowed our students to relish their success just a bit longer! Also, thank you, Jason Ellison, for graciously accepting Wendy Johnson’s Best of Student ADDY while she was away in Acapulco!

Good luck to students and local professionals at the District and National ADDYs!

Valencia students who have won ADDYs, please provide us with an image of your winning entries so that we may post them in flickr. I have created a drop box on the East Campus server to place the files in.

Congrats to all! It just shows that Valencia Students are better than the rest!!! Here is a link to the Addy Rules and Guildlines. http://www.aaf.org/images/public/aaf_content/awards/pdf/ADDY_Rules_Guidelines_08-09_update.pdf Go to page 21 for the Student information. Here is what it says... Student Auto-forwarding: With student ADDYs we will adopt an amended auto-forwarding process where all Gold winning work will be forwarded to the district and national competition at no cost. Silver winning work may advance to the district or national competition by paying the applicable entry fee. Keep up the good work!!!

At the show, winners were given a packet with their award certificates and the form to forward their entries. Anyone who didn't pick up their packet was emailed today at the address they registered with the ADDYs. In that email should be a PDF form for them to send over. Fees are due by the end of the day tomorrow. You can pay via credit card by faxing over the form with the card information. Additionally, you have until Wednesday to pick up your actual certificates from the Enguage office downtown. I believe all that info is in the email as well.
