The cool new header…

So I’ve received a number of submissions over the summer for the new blog header design and have just added the new header to our blog. I must commend all of you on your submissions – we’ve seen some pretty nice work. The new header design was designed by Valencia’s graphics student, Katie Simari. Nice job!

You all are still welcome to continue submitting ideas for the blog header for future use – remember they must be 736 px by 229 px.

    well, i was kinda hoping the top blue line would be the top blue line above it.... hmmm. but to answer your question kevin, i just played with a several brushes, wanted it to look like abstract, textured, throwing in some typography messiness. a lot of layers and of course i wanted it to match the color scheme :)

    I'm blue da ba dee da ba da... it makes me want to grab some paints and fill a wall with "typography messiness". i think it looks great. =]

    I have a blue house with a blue window. Blue is the color of all that I wear. Blue are the streets and all the trees are too. I have a girlfriend and she is so blue. Blue are the people here that walk around, Blue like my Corvette, it's standing outside. Blue are the words I say and what I think. Blue are the feelings that live inside me. I'm blue,da ba de da ba die. lol!!! Typography is always cool

    It's fascinating and very beautiful! It makes me think of a chalkboard with years of design and writing etched into it that can no longer be cleaned off, and has remained to establish a sort of history and character!
