Screenprinting Poster & Postcard competition winners

I wanted to share the awesome work that was selected by Lure Design Inc. to be used in the screenprinting workshop later this month. If your work was selected more information will be posted below the posters & postcards in regards to file requirements that I need ASAP.

IF YOUR WORK WAS SELECTED THIS IS WHAT I NEED ASAP:

• No typefaces less than 8pt. If it’s a serif font or script font with fine details it should be no less than 10pt. If you neglect to change this you risk your type not being printed legibly (if at all) due to the fine details. Ultimately your designs were chosen primarily due to the strength of the design and concept – so we suggest modifying however needed to ensure it prints.
• If your work was selected for a postcard eliminate the logos. The logos take up a small space and once reduced to postcard size we are concerned that the fine details will fill with ink.
• Be sure you have given your poster adequate margins in regards to the type placement. If not, rework this BEFORE resubmitting your poster.
• Send me your layered file ASAP, preferrably in Adobe Illustrator format. You should have ONLY a layer for each color being used. Email your file to akern [at] valenciacc.edu.

Again, we need your file ASAP so that we can have film printed and screens burned prior the event. If you fail to send your files in time you risk not having your work printed during the event.
