NAPP awards 8 of our students Photoshop World scholarships!
“Nine tenths of education is encouragement.” – Anatole France
I’m thrilled to announce that we received word from NAPP today that 8 Valencia students were awarded scholarships to attend Photoshop World. Every year NAPP holds this 3 day conference twice a year and it seems as though just about every other year they come back to Orlando to hold a conference. After attending several conferences myself and having many of our students awarded this scholarship in past years I didn’t hesitate to do the same this year.
With as busy as I’ve been juggling so much, last week I found my self scrambling to put together the final nomination forms for each student I nominated. It’s an opportunity I couldn’t pass up devoting a little of my time towards knowing how much it will impact my students lives. I wish I could have sent all my students, but unfortunately they have a limit on the number of scholarships being awarded so I went through those students I have taught or worked along side the last couple of semesters and found several who demonstrated a strong level of talent, motivation, and/or will to go above and beyond the expectations. So I’m thrilled to say that after nominating the following students they ALL were awarded Photoshop World scholarships:
- Aaron Fischer
- Janae Britt
- Kayla Hernandez
- Stacy Frank
- Jeff Janelle
- Erin McLain
- Brian Nutt
- Val Melo
Congrats guys! I’ll be sure to email you all soon with an update…get ready for an awesome experience at Photoshop.
A big thanks again to Scott Kelby and the folks at NAPP – you guys have done an amazing job helping me encourage some our most deserving students.
