Mobile Web Design Survey

In an attempt to improve the mobile web experience, CSS Design students in the Graphics Technology Program at Valencia Community College are conducting a survey to help gather information about how the public uses the web with mobile devices. With the steady increase in the use of mobile devices (there are three times as many mobile phones as PC’s worldwide!), we are certain that responses from this survey will allow us to better understand various aspects that affect the way we design and develop web sites for mobile devices.

Please take a moment to answer questions in this brief survey. Prior to the end of the semester we will share the results of this survey with the public.

To take the survey visit:

We encourage you to share this survey with others.

Hey Amanda, I took your survey - I think the results would be really useful to a slew of developers making mobile web apps. let me know what you find out - http://www.bellubbi.com/wordpress/2006/09/20/mobile-web-design-survey-by-amand-kerns-of-valencia-community-college/

Hey Amanda, The second question, I think you should make it check boxes instead of the radio buttons - just in case someone has more than one device.

Thanks. It's a bit late to change the survey now that it's been released. Flashlight surveys are somewhat limiting because you can't edit them once they've been released - it's just the way flashlight surveys work. From those that I've viewed so far taking the survey - they've been adding this into the comment field. Pretty interesting results thus far. Because it's been released to a large number already so we will have to move forward with the results we receive from this survey.

I just wrote a post detailing some advice on how to write better survey questions. My #1 piece of advice is to avoid complicated sentences. Keep it simple, stupid, is an especially good piece of advice when composing a survey! Check it out if you’re looking for help: http://blog.surveytool.com/2011/04/27/survey-questions-help-guide/
