Doing Things Differently: National Logo Design Contest

Ford Motor Company Fund is committed to making the Ford Blue Oval Scholars program different, and more relevant, than traditional scholarship programs. As the program grows and evolves, we hope that its uniqueness will be obvious to participants and visitors to the site. To kick things off, we are demonstrating this commitment by launching Ford Blue Oval Scholars through a national logo design contest, open to amateur and professional designers between the ages of 18-28. The winning logo will be used as the official logo for the Ford Blue Oval Scholars program, on the Web site and in all materials related to Ford Blue Oval Scholars. The top ten designs will be chosen by a selection panel of Ford Motor Company employees and design experts. Ford Blue Oval Scholars will vote online to pick the winning logo.

Entries must be received by October 1, 2007. The winner will be announced November 1, 2007.

since i think you bring up an important question, check to see if they have a link to contact someone on their site and ask.

I think it's unfair that they have the age limitation...not all students are within that age group and I find it discriminating that they assume that all students are. I would have enjoyed this competition, but alas, I won't be able to compete because I'm not a "traditional" student.

their eligibility rules seem to address your issue, however is contradictory to their intro statement. it's possible that they will, in fact, accept submissions so long as you are over the age of 16 and are considered an 'amateur'. this is still worth investigating. read below: Eligibility This United States based logo competition is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including District of Columbia). Competition is open to amateur and professional designers... Participation can only take place in a private personal capacity. Must be at least 16 years of age to enter competition.

We came across the comments above and decided to review the eligibility rules. I am happy to announce that the competition is now open for anybody who is 16 years or over.
