Lightroom 2 Tour next week!
If you had asked me two years ago if I was interested in using lightroom, I’d have had the typical response most others who’ve never used it have: “Why use Lightroom when I have Photoshop?” Then I was fortunate to watch a lightroom presentation by Katrin Eisman at Photoshop World last year. I quickly learned that it was a great tool for any photographer or designer who dealt with any image editing. (Doesn’t that qualify as all designers and photographers? I’d say yes!) Her presentation helped me understand that Lightroom is MORE than just an image workflow program. By using lightroom you can leave the image “enhancements” to Lightroom and use Photoshop for image “manipulation”. Just this past year I began using Lightroom and have been amazed with both the workflow aspects and the various enhancement options which make image editing far more efficient.
Have I got you interested in learning Lightroom yet? If so, here’s your chance to soak up a day full of Lightroom knowledge from Scott Kelby. Next week he’ll be in town at the convention center teaching his Lightroom 2 Tour. If you do any type of image editing or photography I assure that this is an event that you’ll be impressed with. Of course if you’re still not sure why you should use lightroom you might want to check out what Matt Kloskowski’s has to say.
