American Lung Assoc. of FL Needs FALL Interns

The American Lung Association for Volusia and Flagler counties with their office located in Daytona Beach, FL., has three spots still open for Fall interns!

Students must be interning for credit and must intern a minimum of 10 hours a week anytime during business hours. They will accept undergrad and graduate interns. Students will gain hands-on experience in development, fundraising, board management, event planning, program management, leadership, administrative duties, media and community relations and general office experience.

They are looking for interns in the following areas:

Special Events
This student will work with the various non-profit operations, development of special events activities. Some student experience will include work with event planning, management, donor development, membership management, database management, fundraising and event logistics. Students will work with media outlets, press releases, minor graphic design work and volunteer management.

Programs
This student will assist with our local school and hospital programs. Work will include attending meetings, assigning speakers, coordination of facilitator training, coordination of printed materials, promotion of programs in the community and recruitment of volunteers.

Marketing
This student will work with corporate sponsors, creation of marketing proposals, assist with donor cultivation, board management, promotion of events and market our campaigns.

Development
This student will work to build relationships with donors and assist in fundraising events and projects.

Volunteerism
This student will work with the volunteer coordinator on the volunteer program. Will work on recruitment and management of volunteers, work with staff to craft volunteer projects, learn database system for volunteers and much more.

Upon successful completion of internships students will be awarded a small stipend and letter of recommendation on letterhead.
