Congratulations are in order for the Valencia Graphics turnout for this year’s winners of the AIGA Flux Student Design Competition!

(from their website: http://fluxdesigncompetition.org) “For the third year, Shepherd University and AIGA BlueRidge have teamed up to produce Flux. Submitted work will be selected by a panel of accomplished designers. The selected entries will be displayed at The Blue Elephant Art Center in Frederick, MD.”

Valencia winners are:

Jamie Konet: Love Your Body Campaign and Karen Salmansohn Event Poster
Marcela Garces: Helvetica Poster
Aaron Fischer: Saves the Day and Match Book Romance

Keep on the lookout for AIGA/Flux to post an online portfolio of the winners’ work.

Great work! I especially enjoyed Jamie Konet's event poster...I love the design of the winding words on the tree branches, and also how the complementary orange and blue colors contrast in the piece (not to mention they also constitute the Florida gator colors, national champions once again!).
