What about my avatar?

If you use this blog regularly you might have noticed in the comments section of the most recent article I’ve written about the Dreamweaver bug that wordpress now supports avatars (a thumbnail image you chose to represent you as you make comments). Avatars have become pretty common in a lot of web sites that enable comments, forums, etc. I’m expecting questions about this, so if you want to have your own avatar it’s pretty simple, but you do need to have a wordpress account (which is free). WordPress has a info available online about their addition of avatars (to include a tutorial), which will appear any time you comment on a wordpress blog.

Very Cool. Just FYI - you all do not have to set up a blog to have a wordpress account. There is an option just to set up an account. This is useful if you don't want your own individual blog but you are asked to contribute to a wordpress blog. But of course you can post comments without having a login, you just won't have one of those cool avatars. :o) Also, if you do by chance set up a blog that you don't want, there is a way to delete it in the dashboard of wordpress.
