Hey everyone. I attended the meeting last night at Say It Loud. It was informative. It wasn't what I expected honestly, but I met some great people. The main thing they stressed was to submit your work...just try it. Eddy and Daisy said their success was kind of unexpected. They both cleaned up at the Addys too. But you all know that I'm sure. Other than that they mentioned the impact having an Addy Award on your resume has towards employers. Phone calls were received after the awards. There is also a portfolio review next wednesday (i need to relook at the information before saying that's the time) I think it's at Full Sail. I have some posters about it. I'm really glad I attended the meeting. I had a good feeling about being there. And the people, they were so friendly and helpful especially Sarah and Wayne.

education@ad2orlando.org is the email of the people that ran the meeting. Their names were Wayne and Sarah. They are also on LinkedIn under Ad2 Orlando as the Education Co Chair. I don't have the flyer that has the web address for the directions on how to enter the Addys, but when I get home and get to the internet I will post it.

I took this from the Ad2 website: December 17, 2007 Addy Entry Day Date: January 11, 2008 TIme: from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Location: Full Sail – Building B Directions: Building B is in the Albertsons Plaza – Corner of University Blvd and 436. Enter via Driggs Drive by the Ale House and McDonalds. Building B has a large glass front. All physical entries must be received on Friday, January 11, 2008. Entries will not be accepted after 6:00 p.m. under any circumstances. For more information, please email Tanya Zeiher or call (407) 421-9463.

Beth: I say go to the lab and talk to anyone there [labbies, students, teachers, etc] they're are all pretty sneaky [in a good way =P] and I am sure they'd help you out on deciding on what category to place your entries in. =]
