Easily Amused is seeking a graphic designer to join their team. You might be interested in the job opportunity they submitted. Here’s a bit about the company:

Easily Amused is an Oviedo based full service design studio. We do web. We do print.

Our ideal candidate is a student with a love of design and has a style, but can adapt their style to a clients vision. We also would like someone who is comfortable with improvising, taking initiative and giving feedback.

We primarily need help in the graphic design area. Making web graphics, site layouts, illustrations — if you can name it, you can work on it.

We are a small studio with projects ranging from simple brochure websites to complex e-commerce sites, so there’s always a variety of projects to work on and things to have fun with. We also do print work: posters, brochures, branding packages and we specialize in identity design. Rest assured, you’ll be challenged, but in a good way.

Here’s What they’re Looking For (in the way of design):

• An online portfolio that showcases your recent work
• You know your way around Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
• Strong conceptual design sense
• Your own personal style
• Understanding of design logic and know when to break it
• Willing to mature and grow on your own

Here’s what they’re looking for (as a team member):

• A get-along-with-everybody-team-player attitude
• Are fun to be around, get on well as part of a small, fast-moving team and enjoy talking about new ideas
• Not willing to miss a deadline
• Loves to give feedback (especially when an idea is bad)
• Won’t compromise your design

Here’s What they’re Looking For (in the way of web*):

• Understand the concepts of CSS and tableless design
• An understanding of JavaScript
• Understanding of Web standards
• Have a thirst to learn new skills and technologies, and can pick
• things up easily

* You don’t need to program, but you at least should know how to layout a decent website.
