Fall 2008 Registration Troubles?
Students Enrolled In Graphics Courses and Graphics Degree Majors Please Read:
There have been a few changes made to the Graphics curriculum this fall. These changes may be affecting what courses come up on a search for available Graphics courses and what courses atlas is permitting you to register for. The changes are:
1. GRA1149 Intro to Computers and Logical Thinking has been given a new course name and number. The new course name and number is DIG2100C Web Essentials. This new course will not show up on a course search if you are only searching for Graphics courses with a GRA prefix. The course content has not changed.
2. GRA1136 Digital Video and Sound has a new course number, DIG2030C. This new course will not show up on a course search if you are only searching for Graphics courses with a GRA prefix. The course name is the same. The course content has not changed.
3. GRA2131 Interactive Design I is now DIG2500C Fundamentals of Interactive Design. This new course will not show up on a course search if you are only searching for Graphics courses with a GRA prefix. The course content has not changed.
4. GRA2132C Interactive Design II has the same number, but the new course title is Advanced Interactive Design.
5. Many graphics courses now have the letter ‘C’ added to the end of the course number. You might encounter registration issues such as a “financial aid non-compliant course” email or prerequisite errors due to these simple course name and number changes. If you receive either of these messages, please contact Kristy Pennino (kpennino@valenciacc.edu) to receive instructions and assistance on how to solve these registration glitches.
