Graphics Internship Orientation – Summer 2008 2nd Chance

Thursday, May 15 from 1 – 2pm; East Campus 1-213.
Who should attend?
• Anyone planning to register for an Internship Summer 08
• Anyone who just wants to learn more about the processHow do I register for an Internship?
1. If you have already taken the prerequisite graphics courses (GRA21826 OR GRA2143) you need to fill out the Internship Application form on-line now at http://valenciacc.edu/ipo/default.asp

2. Select desired intern locations from the on-line database, submit a copy of your resumé and provide the internship office with a copy of your unofficial transcript printed from Atlas.

3. Attend the mandatory Graphics Orientation Thursday, April 10 , 1 – 2 pm in 1-214 on East campus. Bring with you the following:
a. Copy of your unofficial transcript indicating that you have or are currently enrolled in the prerequisite course(s)
b. Copy of your personal resumé

4. Once you have been approved you will receive a Special Registration form to take to the Career Center. You must pay for the course at that time. There is no late fee.

ATTENDING THIS MANDATORY ORIENTATION IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN REGISTER FOR GRA 2942 – YOU DO NOT REGISTER THROUGH ATLAS REGISTRATION.

    A few questions: 1) We need to submit a copy of our resume and transcript to the internship office BEFORE the orientation meeting? 2) Should the 5-10 examples of our best work be on a CD, or printed and mounted? Thanks a bunch! I'm worried about doing this wrong...

    1. you don't HAVE to apply before the orientation, but it helps. submitting a resume and transcript is just a part of the application process and you DO have to apply before you will be allowed to actually register. 2. CD or prints is fine.
