Come see world-renowned author, designer and radio talk show host, Karen Salmansohn speak! I’m not kidding when I say this lady is hysterical; not to mention, she’s got balls!

WHERE: Valencia’s East Campus PAC (Building 3); FREE food in the Building 3 Atrium.

WHEN: Friday, February 29th. 6 – 7pm FREE food and networking. 7pm hear her speak.

WHY? Because this is just the kick in the *ss you need to get your creative juices flowing again!

She will also be judging our student show while she’s in town and is willing to do a book signing. If you own one of her books, like “Ballsy: 99 Ways to Grow a Bigger Pair and Score Extreme Business Success” bring it with you. And if that’s not enough to get you here, you can always come for the networking and free food. 🙂

This event is open to anyone who would like to attend and is FREE for everyone.

What in inspirational speaker and overall fun lady. She got our creative energy stirred up. And great food, too all for free. Those that were there know what I'm talking about! Also, she wanted you all to know that even if your work was not selected for the Juried Student Show this year it didn't mean it wasn't good. With close to 200 entries and only 45 that are allowed in she said it was really hard having to eliminate so many. Check the lab for a posting of whose work got in.

Thanks for everyone that came! Special thanks to Jamie for kicking butt at having everything prepared even if it was super stressful and also to Kristy for being ballsy herself and get on stage to present our speaker! =D We spoke with Karen after she judged the pieces and she told us we should be proud because of the diverse talent we have at Valencia. She was super impressed. I definitely would not want to judge one of our shows, too much of a difficult task =P
