Celebrate the life and art of Robin Ambrose McCarty

Friends wishing to celebrate the life and art of Robin Ambrose McCarty are invited to come together on Saturday, September 2nd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m in the Germaine Marvel Building on the grounds of the Maitland Art Center. A short rememberance will take place at 6 p.m. followed by light refreshments. Monetary contributions are being accepted to help defray the travel expenses for Robin’s husband and sister.     Robin was my first teacher at Valencia. i loved her accent and her quirky disheaveled way...she was a character. we knew nothing about design in intro class and she was always so patient with us getting stuck on the simplest things. i was sad to see her leave Valencia back then and sad to see her gone now. we will always remember...
