TO DO LIST: GET WORK READY FOR THE ADDYS OVER THE HOLIDAY BREAK!!

(FOR DROP OFF LOCATION INFORMATION CLICK HERE).

All of this information can be found at www.orlandoaddys.com

Deadlines for the Addy’s:
• 1/11/08 Entry Day
• 1/18/08 – 1/20/08 Judging
• 2/21/08 Gallery Night
• 2/23/08 Award Gala: (work receiving Gold ADDYs or higher will be automatically transferred to the next level of judging; Districts. Silver ADDYs will need to be manually forwarded with an additional entry fee usually within TWO days of the Awards Gala.)
• 3/14/08 – 3/16/08 District Judging
• 5/3/08 District Gala
• 6/10/08 National Gala

All entries are NOT to be mounted. They prefer them to be submitted individually in transparent envelopes. Manila and the gold envelopes are also acceptable, however, not preferred.

To be included in each transparent envelop with your work:
• entry number attached to pack of piece
• 2 copies of entry form behind the entry

If you are submitting a 3-D piece, submit it in a box. Attach the entry form to the inside bottom of the box, then the piece will sit on top of that with the entry number attached to the piece.

If you are submitting a non-traditional ad (environmental, etc) submit a paragraph of how it would be used.

If you are submitting certain elements that appear in a piece (such as illustrations, photos, logos, etc.) submit the same way. If it’s a logo, explain the type of company with 1 or 2 words.

If you are submitting a campaign:
• label each piece with the entry number on the back in the upper right corner
• label entry “1 of 3”, “2 of 3”, “3 of 3”
• extra copy of entry form inside envelope

If you are submitting mixed media:
• indicate each entry “1 of 3”, “2 of 3”, “3 of 3”
• submit in one large envelope

Campaigns can be submitted as one and the individual pieces can be submitted as single pieces. Different envelopes are required.

Make sure you fill out all of the paper work for each entry on-line (www.orlandoaddys.com).
When you are registering on-line and you are an Ad Club member, you must choose Orlando Advertising Federation (it is towards the bottom of the list). Print out two copies of each entry form and a copy of the manifest (not submitting a manifest as well can disqualify your entry!) for each entry you submit. You need to bring the entry forms the day of submission. Payment can be made on-line this year. For students, it’s $20 an entry.

Also put a labeled CD containing a PDF of each piece in each entry envelope (including 3D work photographed in it’s 3D form) so that if/when your work is chosen for an award, they can use that PDF to show your work during the awards presentation.

Just a note on the cds. I think you have to have the pdfs on seperate cds so that each envelope has a cd in it with the work that is submitted in that envelope. So that way if you submit say 5 things in 5 envelopes, each envelope would have it's own cd. Don't submit just 1 cd with all your entries on it. That was how it was last year. Yes it is alot of work but definitely worth it. Good luck to everyone!! :-)

No, though in previous years they did offer discounts on entry fees for members. You'll have to check out their web site to see if they're offering that again this year.

oh, about the cd's, you cannot write your name or anything that can identify you on the cd itself. You have to write the entry number on it in sharpie.

Does each campaign piece have to be in a separate envelope or can they be submitted together in one envelope?
