Alumna Needs a Replacement

Okay so I’m leaving Officemax and my boss REALLY needs a fulltime graphic designer to fill in the gap. If you know of someone that you feel would be a good fit please pass this information on:

The Officemax location is in Altamonte Springs – at the intersection of 434 and 436. The Imress (copy center) manager is Ben Sergent who can be reached at (407) 788-6151. Please call him first, speak to him directly and let him know you are interested in a position as a Graphic Designer. Then go to Officemax.com and apply online.

They will work around a school schedule but really need someone who can put in FULL TIME HOURS. Hurry! Run! Quick! They need someone within the next two weeks!

You do NOT need to be done with the graphic design or multimedia program. Ben Sergent understands that students move on and grow beyond what Officemax can offer. He sees the position as a gateway position and learning experience before entering the industry and is very supportive of growth – take comfort in knowing that you will be working for a manager that actually cares about your own personal self development outside of Officemax. Be open and honest with him- as he always is with his associates.

The person needs to be able to be flexible enough to be a TEAM PLAYER.

The position is NOT just limited to graphic designing. You will be working in a “digital press-like” environment where everything is PRODUCTION based and FAST PACED. Which means flexibility is key! Consultative selling, heavy production, preflighting, working at the registers taking customer orders – you must be a FUNCTIONAL AND INTEGRAL PART OF THE ENTIRE IMPRESS DEPARTMENT.

You must also be an independent learner! If you do not know something, you must be able to find answers either through asking questions, figuring things out on you own, or researching. PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS AND COMMON SENSE are key as well.

Must have a basic knowledge of how to use all the ADOBE applications (InDesign, minimal Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop) BOTH ON A PC AND A MAC. You must be able to work UNDER PRESSURE and must be self sufficient and PRODUCTIVE with minimal supervision!

The starting pay is $10.00 per hour.
