The RSS Series: Amanda's feeds exposed
Now first, if you don’t know what RSS is or if you are not using RSS NOW then just stop and proceed directly the the first two articles in the RSS series:
Now, many of you have asked me about where I get all those resources I bookmark in my blinklist or even better, how in the world I keep up with all these resources with my busy schedule. It’s pretty simple – I subscribe to RSS of other web sites. Think of it like a newspaper – I get to check my RSS feeds daily, just like most people read a newspaper. I seriously don’t have time to visit all of my favorite sites daily, especially if they have nothing new to offer, but with RSS I can return to them on the days they have new content that is of interest of me. In fact, RSS makes it easier for companies to share information with the public than to use email newsletters or advertising. Besides, how many of you really pay attention to all the email newsletters that get lost in the long list of spam emails? With RSS YOU control what YOU want to subscribe to. So if you’re not using RSS after sharing the two articles above, then shame on you – because now it’s time to let you all in on a little secret. That’s right – I realize I might be making a brief departure from writing here soon once the baby arrives and so what better way to keep up with those resources I usually share, than to have access to them yourself! Here goes the list:

Actually, I dare you to visit all of the sites above and time yourself as you sift through all the great and inspiring information you will find on these sites. I’m sure it’ll take a while – but by using RSS you only read what you want when you feel it’s worthwhile, which takes far LESS time.
If you subscribe to a web site’s rss that is not listed above let us know – I’m always anxious to add more worthwhile sites to my list. Oh, and don’t forget, my blinklist bookmarks also have RSS – so go subscribe!
