2007 ADDY Awards

Better get to crankin’ out and polishing off those great projects you’ve been working on this year because the ADDY’s are coming up!

Orlando Advertising Federation (OAF) is sponsoring a free ADDY Entry Workshop open to all who are planning to enter the 2007 ADDY Awards. Attendees will learn the correct way to prepare and submit entries, as well as new rules and guidelines. The workshop will be held December 5 at 6:30 p.m. at University of Central Florida’s downtown campus, 36 W. Pine St., Orlando. Deadline for entries is January 12, 2007.

The workshop will assist entrants in learning the entry process and explaining new requirements – among them, physical submissions mounted on black or foam board are no longer accepted. PDFs are now required. Other areas to be covered include: using online software to submit entries, making sure each entry is entered in the correct category and ensuring that physical entries meet this year’s specifications.

As the advertising industry’s premier awards competition, the ADDY Awards honor creative excellence in every advertising medium and category. Held annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the OAF ADDY Awards is the first of a three-tier national competition involving more than 210 local AAF chapters throughout the United States. Local winners advance to regional level competition, which consists of the AAF’s 14 national Districts. Regional winners then advance to the national competition.

The 2007 ADDY Awards is scheduled to be held February 24, at Hard Rock Live, Universal Studios Orlando. For more information, contact OAF at addys@oaf.com.
